24 Season 7

Ok, I watched season 7 of 24, this season is very different from the past 6, over which for one reason or another jack is out or CTU and then gets pulled back into the thick of the action, in Day 7, jack is at a hearing being held questioning his actions at CTU and the crimes he has committed to get information and save lives. CTU has been closed down and now they want jacks head.

Early on in the show we learn that Tony is alive and has turned bad, he kidnaps this guy and they are using him to make a device that will hack into major government systems. Jack is called into help the FBI, we then learn that Tony, Bill and Chloe are working together to uncover a huge plot that is undermining the government and it all ties back to day 6.5 or 24 redemption when jack was in Africa.

This season sees alot of known faces taking roles in 24, perhaps this is to boost ratings or perhaps the bigger names really want to be apart of such a hit or that the bosses at 24 have more money so they can pay better known actors to play the parts.

it was good to see Chloe and Morris O Brien back again as well as Aaron Pierce, who has perhaps the most amount of screen time in this season than all the first 6 put together.

Tony's character going from the good guy he was to this bad guy looking for revenge is a jagged pill to swallow and at the end with Tony arrested it will be difficult to see how he would be apart of Day 8. It was sad Bill had to get killed, i was wondering where Karen hayes was, her part was not used for Day 7. almost all of the CTU gang have been killed off. Kim was back, she is playing a more mature roll, long gone is the little kid getting chased by bad guys ever 15 minutes, she played her part well, I was not so pleased with her return on Day 6, it seems like every time Jack and Kim meet they make up but have grown apart in between days.

the season ended with Jack dying from the bio weapon, but as there is a Day 8 we know he survives. This season is very different in its outlook, before Jacks motives and actions were rearly questioned for long, if he hurt a bad guy to get info, he was scolded but no action was taken against jack after. in this season the moral questions are asked about how far is far enough or too far to protect the country against evil people.

I cant wait for Day 8 which i am fairly sure will be set just after Day 7 and not several months or years later.
